     Why should I have water in my landscape?

        Water has immense attraction to all people.  There is a fascination in the sound of running water especially when
        it is in gardens.  It brings a calming sense of satisfaction with sounds that can only come from water.  The glimmer
        of a fish or the unsurpassed beauty of a water lilly on a hot summer day can soothe any mind.

        For centuries people have basked in the luxury of fountains and water gardens in their landscape.  They can create
        focal points whether they are located in the home, garden, office, or shopping mall.   Another great attribute water
         gardens is that they are just plain fun!

        Water gardens can be any size or shape.  You can place a whiskey barrel on you back porch or dig up your entire
        front yard.  Your only guide is your creativity.  Landscape ponds also can be made from pre-fabricated plastic, poured
        concrete, or liners that can come in complete kits.

                                                                                         
 

        Water does have a relaxing effect associated with nature and the outdoors.  Whether it is the lapping sound of
        ocean waves, or the fountain next to your deck the reasons for considering water in your landscape are numerous.
        We may be unable to recreate nature through oceans, but constructing water features in our personal landscape
        can sure give us pleasure!
